Schooling in Indonesia is one of the largest and most complex systems in the world, serving tens of millions of students across an archipelago of more than 17,000 islands. Looking ahead, Indonesia faces both promise and peril. A youth-heavy population means millions of young people will enter the workforce in the coming decades, and their skills will determine the nation’s economic trajectory.
