What is general anaesthetic surgery?
General (GA) is a type of anaesthesia that puts you into a controlled, deep sleep for the of your procedure. You feel no pain, have no of the surgery, and wake up once it is complete. GA is used for longer, more complex procedures where local anaesthetic alone would not be sufficient to keep you comfortable throughout.
At Signature Clinic, our GA procedures are performed by consultant surgeons at dedicated, fully regulated surgical facilities, separate from our standard clinic locations, specifically equipped to perform procedures under general anaesthetic safely and effectively.
