Frequently asked questions

Before any microneedling treatment, it is best to have skin makeup free and cleaned thoroughly as well as avoiding sun exposure for 24 hours prior. Your therapist will prepare the skin properly before treatment.

Microneedling treatments are relatively pain-free and feels like a light vibrating sensation on the skin with very light pressure applied.

Skin reactions depend on the individual; however, skin will appear pink/red for around 24 hours. Other reactions after the treatment may include tightness & slight flaking. Skin will be back to normal within 7 days.

It’s important to wait until the surgical incisions have fully healed before undergoing microneedling. It is generally advised to wait a minimum of weeks (3-4 months) after surgery. This allows sufficient time for the initial healing and scar formation process.

Generally, for optimum results, a course of treatments will take place every 4-6 weeks for a series of 3-6 . This is dependent on what is being treated.

Microneedling offers treatments for all skin types without the need for any anaesthetic with minimal .

Some redness may last up to 2 days post-treatment. Mineral-based makeup may be used after 24 hours and most can return to normal activities after microneedling treatments.

Your therapist will advise you on what product(s) are best to be used on your skin after

treatments. This will be prescribed based on the skin condition being treated and skin types. Ask your therapist for more information.

Yes you upgrade to include Polyneucleotides or Exosomes.

Great question – they are both excellent upgrades to standard microneedling but they both work in very different ways. Think of it as repair vs regeneration signalling.

Polynucleotides are DNA fragments (usually salmon derived) that act as repair molecules.
